It's safe to say we are fully addicted to fly fishing. It is 90% of what we think about during the peak guiding months. The last few weeks we have continued to explore different rivers in the west to get our fix before we buckle down for the summer. We recently made it up to one of Walters favorite long time haunts to see if we could do a bit of exploring.... Photos: Asher Koles A few weeks ago Walter Foster and Chris Chastain had a chance to get out and do some pre-season scouting on one of the Small Streams & Remote Rivers that we love. The water bumped up a few CFS as the spring and summer get underway and the boys went out and took full advantage. Streamers and nymphs were the name of the game as these healthy browns looked for their first big meals of the warm season. Luckily for Chris and Walter, there were plenty of fish willing to play ball! In the spring us Trout Tales guides get our fishing kicks before we start going head first into the guide season. This year was no different. Walter set out for the Yakutat in Alaska in search of mighty steelhead. Although it rained for 4 of the 7 days he was there his fishy intuition led him into a few nice healthy fish.
